Well, they said the problem with a new slide is that it may not fit the gun properly. Which sounds like BS but that's what the SW lady said on the phone. Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out the best course of action now. I really like the hard chrome finish that someone did on this forum but the 4-6 week wait time would be killer. Well, just got back from the gun smith and got the orange trijicon installed. So far I really like them but will reserve judgment until I shoot with it. On the bad side the gun smith took off a lot of black on the slide. He ran out of black paint so he tried blue which just made it worse. So...
