I would never deactivate or remove any safety from a pistol of mine. My thumb rests on the safety of my M&P 9c just as it does on my 1911's. It's just how I do it....everyone's different.

It would be interesting to know what problems the compact M&P are having. I am over 800 rounds in my M&P 9c and it has not missed a lick period. I use good ammo, great ammo, Russian ammo, dirty ammo, +P, FMJ, JHP....it just shoots everything. The NYPD could super glue a brick to the trigger to...

I alternate between a Sig Sauer P290 and an LCR (extra mag foe the P290 and speed loader for the LCR). If I need any more ammo than that I'm probably screwed anyway!

I am waiting on my fourth front sight for my M&P 9c from S&W and mine are Night sights. I am determined that S&W is going to give me what I paid for. The pistol is great otherwise! They have a real problem with this.

If you think it's worth it buy used. I would rather have a NIB for myself but I am in a decent financial position. I might mention that I own a Hi Point 40 cal S&W and it's a good shooter so it's not snobbery just personal choice.

I get tired of hearing about the M&P Shield, 9c, full size or whatever trigger deficiencies. If Jesus Christ made the trigger himself someone would want a trigger kit for it. Sheeesh!
