Looking for a hand gun for my wife...suggestions wanted

Ur Not playing fair to ur significant others The key point to a ladies gun is the difficulty or not in her being able to move the slide to take care of business. Secondly, the recoil. Then does she want a safety on the weapon. No one wants a lock unless they are storing it. The PK 380 by...

    Ported 40 Cal model 10100

I love my M&P 40 Cal Pro. Now S&W has a ported model. Is there a big enough difference in the muzzle flip between the two weapons to warrant spending $700 for the new model? I've called S&W and the one person who may know hasn't returned my call. It's only been two weeks. If the recoil/flip...

    M&P Performance Center Ported

I'm thinking about model 10100 M&P 40 ported. Does anyone have info on what reductions (5% - 40%) in muzzle flip //recoil this pistol is over a M&P 40 caliber Pro???? If it's only 5 or 7% it would not be worth the extra $.

    Can't remove/return slide .40 M&P Pro

Late last December, I was very happy to buy a model M&P .40 SKU: 178032 Pro Series weapon. This is 5" barrel model. If you are fortunate enough to have one of these, please tell me if you are having any problems removing/replacing the slide? I've requested advise from my unit armorer and was...

    Anomaly or on-going problem?

My Pro series .40 had the slide release to catch on the slide which kept the slide in place or the slide release would not allow the slide to be returned to the weapon. Also, the recoil spring rod had a 1/3 inch piece of the large end rod break off. Its less than a year old. It's back with...

Buyers Remorse on an M&P Pro

agree...agree...one last thought After 300 rounds, my stock M&P Pro is shooting great. The trigger pull is down to 4.5 lbs. I suggest that the 5" version of the Pro Series will make it easier to hit the spot you are shooting at. At 100 yards, the gun is hitting 3" clays and I'm older than...

Love my M&P 40 Caliber, but,

Think the S&W regular 40 cal models, i.e. models 103900/203900 etc, never came stamped "STAINLESS", but, models such as the 178036/178032, 40caliber and its brother the 9mm did. I looked at photos to come to this conclusion.

Love my M&P 40 Caliber, but,

Sounds good, however, I think the M&P 9mm slide still has it. go figure!

Love my M&P 40 Caliber, but,

I'm trying to find out why..my M&P Pro series 40 caliber w/5inch barrel does NOT have "STAINLESS" on the slide. Anybody?

    Think I've Found It

Read, talked, handled, fired, read some more and now I think I've found the perfect gun for me. M&P Pro 40 caliber w/5 inch barrel. All I've added is Talon sandpaper grips. On this forum, it seems like people add a lot of options to their guns to personalize them and make them better. If...

    S&W M&P 40

Fire 1000 + rounds in it then think about what you don't like about it. Many have complained about a gritty feeling while pulling the trigger. APEX products and others can fix the gritty or just go and purchase a Pro series M&P. Welcome to the team!

Is There a Reason my Spring is Painted Blue?

my 40c spring is really stiff. The slide locks up sometimes and I cannot slide it to the rear to cock the weapon or to remove the slide. Don't know if they are connected in some way?

    2206 Trigger overtravel

M&P Pro Series 40 Cal Looking for a "new" model 178036 M&P 40 Cal Pro Series. No local stores (Alabama) seem to be able to find a distributor with this model. This gun lists for $600 - $650. Hope S&W makes a few more of these soon.
