My new to me SW9VE.....What's wrong with this?

....the correct slide is much tighter suggesting the barrel port IS too big for the 9MM barrel. I don't have the the measurements. they are close enough for the 40VE slide to work on the 9VE barrel/frame. the 9VE slide on a 40VE should NOT work. anyone out there with one of each willing to...

    One Handed

I believe in practice to become a better shooter. sd/hd situations require practiceing closer, ie; 2 to 7 yds. old west gun fights were close encounters that required top notch gun control. no time for mechanical evaluation or front sight focus. the sight picture under duress should be the same...

    Sigma 15 Round SW40F Mag in SW40VE

I do need to forget about carrying a 1911. Gramps wouldn't allow one in the pipe with an open holster. it's an old habit. Ron

    Sigma 15 Round SW40F Mag in SW40VE

very, VERY true, sir. I am blessed with both hands. learned how to rack a 1911 from a one handed Marine. Ron

    Sigma 15 Round SW40F Mag in SW40VE

yes it's an old post. need to add my 2p. the 15 round mags I bought, fit my 40VE just fine without any mods to the base plate. no extra force needed to put the mag home. I won't chamber a round if I don't need to. being ready involves some serious decision making. I don't put myself in harms way...

    Light for a Sigma

hi all, I have been trying to decide what laser or light/laser combo to purchase for my Sigma 40VE. the choices are many and in most cases, expensive. I was undecided because I didn't plan on getting involved in any of the Tactical Shooting events. there is a budget involved here as with others...

    Real time

I shoot mine about once a week, for now. an inconsistent supply of 40SW in my area means I get to practice less. I'm going to AZ next week and plan on a lot more shooting. Ron

    Sigma SD9

maybe S&W can sue them for something. if it shoots, it must be a gun! Ron

    Sigmas' Darkside

that would be performance they are in Auburn WA. there are others who do the same process. some advertise they do guns, some don't. it looks great and the gun works/shoots like it 'sposed to. the polishing is a lot of work but worth the looks. I'd buy a factory black barrel for it just to have...

The ultimate Sigma picture thread thingy!

what started out as a 40VE has become a labor of love. assembled pics later. the Dark Slide/Polished Barrel looks nice. Ron

    500 rounds not a failure Sigma 40

one more time 'what don' kill ya, makes ya better'. oh, my bad, welcome to the forums. and did you do the 500 in one visit? for me it was the 40SW in the Sigma. hits like a 1911, heavy. the grip angle is spot on. the grip itself and the loaded weight make it easier to handle. the first 10 are...

    SW40VE front sight replacement

seems like the Glock Front sight only for the Sigmas. Mepro has f/r for the Sigma. I'm going to try out a red laser. that means I can focus on the BG with the red dot shining in the eye. Ron

    Sigmas' Darkside

reused the front sight using epoxy to make it stay. not finished polishing the barrel and the extractor. going to shoot outdoors Sat. I'll get some pictures. Ron

    Sigmas' Darkside

UPDATE! the slide was finished Wed. very hard to SEE how good it looks. Josh at Performance Coatings, a Sigma SW40VE owner, applied the finish. $70 out the door. Josh said he was going to do his Friday. Ron
