Ok.

Who here shoots their Sigma on a regular? Who shoots IDPA? Who carries it regularly? Who carries one as a duty weapon?

I ask this because of all the negative attitude about this gun.

No other gun is bitched about as much (not really true- but close).

My 40E was my first gun purchase. I ran it successfully in IDPA matches more than a decade ago. Did quite well too.

My duty weapon is the Glock 19, which I love. But, my Sigma will always hold a special place for me.

I'd like to see who runs them and who runs them hard. If you compete, IDPA or IPSC let's hear it. Let's see the scores.

Personally, I believe it can be run just as well as a Glock or revo.

I imagine the 9 runs even easier... Trying not to be an ***, but if people can run a Beretta 92, well then........... :)

I use the Sigmas for loaners and trainer, and sometimes shoot one in IDPA/SSP in club matches to make a point, that point being that my scores are not all that much different with the cheaper pistol.

When in sanctioned competition, I shoot the M&P 9 Pro 5", when shooting SSP.

I prefer the Sigma grip, but the FO sights, longer barrel, and improved trigger on the M&P help when class positions are sometimes a second or two difference and I've spent $400 on travel, motel, and entry fees.

Thanks for the feed back. Admittedly, I haven't carried mine outside of the house for 10 years now. It's been the G19 or 26. Just for fun, I'd like to see what miculek could do with it.

SEEMS like HE can do that with a revolver sometimes...with reloads. The man is unreal. Reminds me of the "Shell Shocked " guy that shoots skeet one-handed over his head and stuff. Wish I had time to practice like that!

I shoot mine about once a week, for now. an inconsistent supply of 40SW in my area means I get to practice less.
I'm going to AZ next week and plan on a lot more shooting.

I carried mine daily for the past two years, switched to my Ruger P95 just recently as I have some carpal tunnels flaring up in my right hand at the moment and the SA 9mm is just a tad easier for me to keep my grip on follow up shots. I shot it at least once, sometimes twice a month at my buddy's range, usually at least 50 rounds through it, always shoot 180 gr in it. Picked up some 155gr Magtech and had one empty get caught dead square in the ejection port on the first shot, not a stovepipe but like you laid it in there parallel to the bore and closed the slide on it! I think the pistol was giving me it's version of WTH is this@!@#$$
Only time it did it, been flawless since then, could just as well been my grip as anything else. Probably at close to 2k rounds through it by now, trigger is still long of course but measures a hair over 5 lbs now.
