I would see if rustoleum makes it in their textured paint--stuff is impossible to wear off I use it on all my hunting rifles and they by no means get babied

hmmm cheap or not ive had good luck with centerpoint products--7 scopes and 2 red dots,the bolt open or closed shouldn't make much difference, did you maybe use a different ammo or clean it prior to using it again?

how about a military surplus m16 a1 stock--I fitted one to mine it cost a grand total of $5 and some poking around at the gun show--a rigid stock makes a lot of difference at the range--and it looks great too
