My range does not allow uncased or upholstered firearms off the line.

That's too bad. I've covered my 15-22 in a nice green felt plush fabric with a 1" foam pad. It really matches the curtains well, and it's super comfy to sit on for movie night.

Ok my thought is- This is why you should either carry a pistol or throw a hacksaw under the seat. Just a thought. I hope this helps.

Everyone has different sized tools for different jobs. Even a good pocket knife has different sized blades for different functions.

Most locks come with two keys. If you are going to put a lock on a firearm, you should have one of the keys on your key ring at all times.

Yea had that happen to me three hour drive to the farm on way forgot the key. Didn't cut the lock they were trigger guard locks, but had 7 firearms with me and most didn't have a lock so shot anyway, just saved some ammo. Lesson learned all my locks are keyed the same, key on every ring and spare in the vehicles and wallet. Man do I have a lot of keys floating around but won't happen again. Cable lock, pad lock would have been cut.

I carry lock entry tools in a credit card sized holster in my wallet.

In my state it is legal to do so and I'm rather good at it, now.

They've come in handy for me in several situations.

Small hand grinder with cutting blade will do wonders with all UR locks. That way U won't keep repeating UR same mistake over and over again.
