I have a 3 inch 29-4 which is unfluted with a round butt, and a 3 inch 29-10 with a square butt. They are both great guns which I shoot often and carry occasionally. The gun with the round butt is more pleasant to shoot and easier to conceal. You really should have a few 3" N frames.
I was surprised yesterday to have a buddy who owns a gun shop show me a NIB pinned and recessed 629. I gave him $700 without checking anywhere. How'd I do?
I have a 29-4 and a 29-10. Both are three inchers that I carry and shoot regularly. The 29-4 is engraved with gold bands on the cylinder and barrel - the perfect BBQ gun in the perfect caliber.
I carry mine in Don Hume and El Paso Saddlery leather. Both are good, the Don Hume holster is lighter, less expensive and less sturdy, but good nonetheless.
