They go for $700 here in Washington. Just sold one the other day for that price. Not mine. I don't sell mine.

My favorite is a model 28 chambered in 357/44 Bain and Davis. Smaller revolver big boom!

What can I expect to get for 900-1000 in a 27?

I'm just curious and not trying to be ignorant but why do you want a -2 or -3? What's the difference? Why not buy the classics version and get a newer gun for your price range? I really don't know the difference just trying to become a more knowledgable person.

S&W Wheel Guns in the Future

I'm doing my part on keeping them alive! I'm 28 and own 27 S&W revolvers and a shield. No other semi autos. I was spoiled with rifles from ww1 and ww2 and now I can't hardly own a piece of plastic. As others have said AR's while a good firearm I will never own one.

New S&W Revolvers & Ultrasonic Cleaners

I use my ultrasonic cleaner on my stainless firearms only not blued and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you really really dry them off and lubricate them appropriately after. Does an amazing job.

Is a 4" 686 too large for occasional carry?

A nice belt and holster are everything for everyday carry.

Is a 4" 686 too large for occasional carry?

I carry one and clothes aren't a problem for me but I live in the northwest so always have a jacket or something. But I carry on the hip and I'm 5'5" and 155lbs. Carry it everyday except when I go to nice places when I wear nice clothes due to concealment so for that I use a shield.

    686-Plus Talo, 3"

Like zipty said don't like the grips but love the revolver. Price is higher then what I paid for mine but only by 50 bucks. Love it other then the grips
