I put some Tula steel cased 9mm ammo through my Bersa BP9, a couple years ago. The gun seized up and was never the same. Long story short, after several returns to Bersa for warranty work, they finally replaced the firearm, deeming it unrepairable.

Amen to that. The reason for the 8# trigger pull is that it's a self defense weapon. You don't want to carry a gun with a light trigger pull. If you are looking for a competition shooter, this isn't it.
Still haven't figured out why everyone wants to lighten the trigger on this firearm? It is a self defense weapon. The 8# trigger is to help prevent an AD. It wasn't made to be a competition target gun. The stock trigger on it is fine.
