Thinking of replacing the rear roll pin with a solid pin.

Guess the pin is actually a spring pin and not a roll pin like everyone is calling them.

Thinking of replacing the rear roll pin with a solid pin.

I am looking at the roll pin that holds the sear block in place. If you look at the pin, it is not a traditional roll pin. A normal roll pin is C shaped and yes it is made to compress. The one in my gun, is like they took spring steel and rolled it into a coil of sorts. What concerns me is...

    SD40 trigger pull

Yes sir. I was going to order the Apex kit but am now holding out for the Galloway 3.5# kit as that is what I am used to in my Glocks. Eric from Galloway told me Tuesday that they should have the kits in about 2 weeks. ~BK

Thinking of replacing the rear roll pin with a solid pin.

I'm not real crazy about the rear roll pin and thinking of replacing it with a solid stainless pin. Anyone think of a reason not too? ~BK

Try breaking it in with at least 100 rounds of FMJ before trying hollow points.

    Night Sights???

Lot of choices out there. Tru Glo makes a cool set that have fiber optic for day time a tritium for nights. I am actually about to experiement with making my own. Found a source for tritium tubes cheap.

    SD40 trigger pull

gallowayprecision.com has announced on it website that the will soon be selling a 3.5 lb spring kit. Thats the weight I always put into my Glocks. I really don't mind the 8# trigger on my SD VE. I thought I would hate it, but it really didn't affect my accuracy much at all. ~BK

    New sd40

As long as you like it, I would keep it. M&P holsters should fit it. Galco holsters I know make holsters for the SD model. Also if you decide you want a M&P, Bud's Gun Shop has police trade in .40 M&P with night sights for $429 shipped. ~BK

    S&W SD40 Ammo Recommendations

Check out the frangible ammo would be a safe bet, but hard to beat a shotty for home defense. 2 birdshot followed by buck or slug. ~BK
