    new layout.

The first time I logged in after the change I thought I had gone to the wrong site! I'm old and slow to adapt, but I have to admit the new format will be better. I just have to learn

    The First .357 Combat Magnum

Are they saying this was the FIRST combat magnum? I believe I read that the first was K 260001 and was presented to Bill Jordan who encouraged S&W to make a K frame 357.

45 ACP moon clips OK for current version of Model 25-15

At risk of sounding like a broken record (young people won't understand that) I raise the question again. S&W makes the Governor that will shoot .410, 45 Colt, and 45 ACP. If that is possible, why not a production N frame that will shoot 45 Colt and ACP the same way?

    Utter Terminal Ballistic Failure....

Were you shooting these in a semi-auto or revolver? Would they feed in a semi-auto or even fit in the magazine?

Is it possible to modify a Smith 625 to handle .45 Super, .45 Magnum and .45 Colt?

OK, I have to go back to an old question I have asked before but no answer. S&W makes the Governor that handles 45ACP and 45 Colt as well as .410 shotgun shells. Why couldn’t they make an N frame to handle 45 ACP and 45 Colt from the factory?

    New Range Toy

I’ve asked this before but still don’t know. If the Governor can take both 45 Colt and 45 acp, why doesn’t S&W make an N frame that will?

    Wadcutters still relevant?

I remember years ago reading an interview with the legendary Bill Jordan. He talked about handloading hollow base wadcutters hotter than target rounds, but he said "somehow those HBWC bullets got in backwards"

Newly acquired 25-2 is in Long Colt only? ***?

I have asked this before and still don't have an answer. S&W makes the Governor which will take 410 shotshells as well as 45 ACP and 45 Colt. If they can do this why not an N frame that will take both 45 rounds?

    Outstanding German Engraved/Inlaid 3.5" Pre-27

This thread is no longer about guns. It is about beautiful works of art. I can't believe that no one has suggested that it deserves a holster by a leather artist, maybe including appropriately applied silver and turquois.

    J-Frames and 25yard qualifications

I was a probation/parole officer from 1977 to 1993. My department specified Colt or S&W revolver, 38 special or larger. I had (still have) a model 19, 4 inch, and a model 38 j frame bodyguard with shrouded hammer. I never had any difficulty qualifying on the b-27 target at ranges from 7 to 25...

    Smith 357 magnum

First, welcome to the forum. We know you are new to the forum, but not your experience with S&Ws. If you are new to S&Ws, what you have done is like a golfer shooting a hole in one on his first round, or a first time deer hunter taking a Boone and Crockett trophy buck. You have found the...

    N frame grip changes

I have seen a lot of "for sale" posts concerning N frame grips/stocks, making a distinction between pre war and post war. What changes were made in the grip frame, and is the difference enough that grips from one era won't fit the other? Thanks in advance.
