I have CTC lasers on my S&W 649 and Ruger LCP. I love that fact they go on when I grip the gun and don't have to fool with thinking about them. The red dot shows me where the hole is going, plane and simple. Intimidating, I suspect, to most bad guys too. :D
Thanks to all who responded to my original post. I know my simple, outlined scenarios leave a lot of room for other variables not considered. All in all though, many good respectful comments. I appreciate that.
I have been bothered by two types of scenarios, neither of which I have had occurred thankfully. I know a number of LEO read this, so I will be anxious for their thoughts. BTW, I hold a valid CCW from Ohio.
I understand this probably doesn’t have a black and white, simple answer, but let me...
Don't let it dry for too long on any surface. I would re-apply a little and polish off right away.
I use this stuff on my knives and never have an issue with rust or other debris sticking to them.
Thnks for this info. I had never considered this option. You are right about their board; those are some heavy-hitters.
Those are three options that someone with a CCW could/should consider. Hmmmm.....
I am really suprised there isn't more discussion of this. Are the majority of CCW holders just hoping/praying they don't need the insurance and are not carrying any additional liability insurance?
I was sent some literature from "USCCA" including liability insurance they offer called Self-Defense Shield. Don't know anything more about it nor do I know anyone who has it.
I also called my State Farm agent about possibly buying liability insurance since I have a CCW. He said basically he...
I have used Renaissance wax for years on my knives. A little of the stuff goes a long way. One can will last for many, many years. Never seems to dry out in the can like I have found with J&J wax.
Soon after getting my CCW, I was torn between the 60 and 649 and went back and forth. Finally decided the hammer exposed on the 60 might be an issue, so went with the 649 and love it. My 2¢
I am a lefty, so holsters for me are sometimes limited. The Fobus holsters are pretty common. Even Amazon.comhas them. I picked mine up at opticplanets.com.
The sites on my bare-bones Mark III Ruger were FIXED, so that was a bit a problem. My shots always seemed to hit low and left. Since I...
I have a Fobus Paddle holster I use with my M&P 9. The M&P 22 I just got fit's it too! I really like it. But, you mentioned you wanted something UNDER your belt, so, in that case, this one is ruled out! :)
On a side note.... my wife "suggested" before I could buy yet another gun (this M&P 22)...
