Thank you all for your input. K32 First Model auction sale price of $5100+ a complete mystery to me. Can the market be that low for such a rarity?? Did bidders not know scarcity? Anybody guess why so low????
Noticed over the past several months prices for Registered Magnums with and without boxes in excellent or above condition seem to be stagnating. 5K to 6K selling ranges on auctions. RMs.@ 99%+ at market pricing solicit no bids at all.
Recent GB Auction had a K32 First Model sell for $5100+...
Model 10's
A 4" pencil barrel Model 10, with blued finish was the very first Smith and Wesson revolver I purchased back in the early 80's. Bought it new and enjoyed it above all others I have subsequently owned. So representative of Smith and Wesson in its simplicity, grace and utility...
Safe Storage of Firearms
Been using RIG, light coat, on collection of safe queens for years. Was using silica gel packs, as well, but switched to Goldenrod. No problems at all. Live in humid Florida climate during summers. Would suggest using RIG if firearms stored for longer periods of...
Just tried for the first time, after many years to remove burn/scortch mark's from the face of cylinder of my 1980's Model 60. Couldn't believe that after a few times marks gone. Don't know how it works on bluing but works great on stainless. Is Birchwood Casey's Lead Remover product. This along...
Shipping small handgun collection out of state via
Fedex to a FFL in Idaho. Does FFL need to file 4473 Transfer form/s? Not selling firearms just shipping to relative for storage? Thank you for your replies.
Gun Sorage Racks
Been using the Hyscore system for several years. Optimum protection, minimum exposure to handling damage. Can purchase 3 gun unit and can remove from storage without possibility of damage to other revolvers. Akin to storing revolvers in a cushioned easy chair.
Thank you for your replies. The brochure I was referring to was for the K22 Outdoorsman 1st Model, not the K22/40. Wondered if it was inserted in boxes?
Does anyone know if Sales Brochure for K22 Outdoorsman was actually an insert in boxes or just a circular left at dealers. I have seen in previous threads, opinions suggesting in 1930's they were included in boxes?? Same for Outdoorsman K22's showing 1940 ship dates? Thank You for replies.
Twisted Wire Brush
You must remember other manufacturers of the era besides S&W, such as Colt provided twisted wire bore brushes and twisted wire mops in their boxes with both revolvers and semi-autos. Perhaps these were manufactured by outside vendors as well. Pretty difficult to know if yours...
