SPICES FOR CHEF'S BAKERS, FOODIES AND PEOPLE WHO JUST TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY

It's always good to have an upgrade. Penzey's has a store here in KC. It's next to a pie shop so a trip there is enjoyable. I have found BBQ spices from Mild Bill's Gunpowder Foods, in Corsicana, TX are an excellent addition to the smoker experience.

    What's for dinner?

BCT Bacon, excellent butcher counter quality. Cheese, Vermont cheddar. Tomato, heirloom very good and fresh. Bread, quality local bakery white bread. I am picky when it comes to food quality. We just got back from an extended road trip where I had no control. I shall skip the lettuce tonight.

    Entry level telescope

I have done business with Astronomics in Norman, OK for decades. I have recommended them to friends and they have been satisfied too. They will talk to you, answer questions and give good advice.

M&P - Modified and German Engraved After WWII

lovely engraving Thank you Richard, this is a beautiful example. 2152hq, that is a very good critique. I can understand your points. This revolver is a well-mannered expression of symmetrical classicism. (:word salad:) The stocks are wonderful and the screws appear to be timed.

22/32 Target / Model 35 Kit Gun / Colt Police Positive 22 Target- Size comparison?

My target sight research on Colt's revolvers from the early 1900's is lacking clarity. It appears they installed decent period target sights on the Officers Model from its start in 1904. The Police Positive .22lr target sights appear to have been upgraded in 1913 to be more user friendly...

22/32 Target / Model 35 Kit Gun / Colt Police Positive 22 Target- Size comparison?

Observed measurements I have both company's .22lr offerings from 1912 to 1936. Colt enlarged the frame of the Police Positive around 1926. S&W did not change the I Frame until after WWII. The Police Positive .22 from 1912 feels awkward to me compared with the .22/.32 HFT. The Police Positive...

    Engraved Tulsa Finds

Having a note pad for table locations at Tulsa is what I use. The Tulsa show is shrinking but still too vast to remember everything without the help of writing it down.

    Does anyone else remember...

I worked on the line at Dodge Main in the early 70's installing the rear deck and interior side panels on Dusters. My back was failing badly until I got Earth Shoes for my off time. They really worked and I really needed the job. Dodge Main no longer exists and I finally quit before I ruined...

    Apricot jam on meat ?

That is a great recipe Class III. I have used Mild Bill's Jellies and Preserves with success. Mostly I smoke ribs and salmon.

    160 Years

Supposedly there are robots that can do a better job than a human soldier on the battlefield. There are major changes coming. I'm surprised that there aren't some in Ukraine.

    Chilli Season is here

Competition chili I recently got the yen to up my chili recipe. The site of Mild Bill's Gunpowder Foods was a revelation of available chili powders and links to competition recipes. Ground beef and pork, 50/50, seems to be my preferred meat choice and now a lot of experimentation lies ahead...

    HOW I GOT MY HANDLE

My friends hung it on me a while ago. Mine is dictated by my musical tastes. The blues from the south in the decades before WWII had colorful characters and I like their message. Musicians like Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Blake, Blind Willie McTell, Sonny Terry, Doc Watson...

    Model 41 malfunctioning or not?

I bought mine new in 2008 with a 7" barrel. It was the second (and last) new firearm I purchased. It has several thousand rounds through it and functions just fine on CCI standard and Eley match pistol. SK pistol has the occasional stovepipe but I fixed that by not using it. I love it.
