I spent the past weekend at the Tulsa show and it was a success. I was fortunate to acquire these nice model 34-1 revolvers while there.
The top gun is featured in the SW Engraving book and the bottom gun came with a factory letter confirming factory class A engraving. The original rosewood stocks have been replaced with the ivory, which complement the gun very well. Enjoy stay tuned for more Tulsa finds:)

Stunning finds

Tulsa can be a scary place to walk around. Especially when you are NOT looking for something specific

It was at my first Tulsa show that I purchased my first engraved Smith and Wesson . . . . I am talking 35 or so years ago

While not as pretty as yours, and not done by the Factory, I came across one of the (then) recently manufactured 686 Snubbies. Lew Horton had convinced Smith & Wesson to make these (SKU 104212). At the time the shortest barrel offered on the L-frame was 4"

I am very happy with the work the engraver did and I was happy with the deal I got, though I did change the grips to the smooth Bananas it is pictured with.

This engraver also had a 3" 624 done in the same pattern and for the same price as the 686

I did not have enough cash in my pocket to take both and since I was already a shooter and hand loader for the 357 Magnum cartridge I bought the one and promised to hit the ATM that night and come back on Sunday for the Brother

The next day I searched for hours and could not find the seller, I will bet ho sold it after I left his table and may have not returned to the show.

No I did not give him a deposit, perhaps I should have as it would have been nice to own both.

I've never been wild about the full coverage, class A, engraving but I'm willing to make an exception for the two you picked up. Just to cool, thanks for sharing them:)

The "Tulsa Show" is 4200 tables under one roof. It's 11 acres of gun show.
25 years ago all the big dealers from all over the USA had tables there.
Shows are themed "Browning Collectors" or Ruger collectors and had large displays.
Unfortunately the internet ruined it. The best dealers quit going and are listing everything online. It was all guns and knives at one time. With their absence, other items filled it in.
This is just my opinion. I still go when I can, but it's not the same.:(

I think you could apply your last four sentences to every gun show in America. The internet has changed/ruined a lot. Our local shows aren't worth the price of admission.

My goodness, I almost lost my breath when I saw all three of those guns above. They are magnificent. Thank you much for sharing them...

We would love to see some more detailed photos of each of those engraved beauties... please.:D:)

My upcoming Xmas gift

Love your engraved Smiths…future project for me. Pictures are of my new Harris scroll engraved 1899 SAA. He patterned the engraving after a friends Weldon Bledsoe scroll with MOP grips/7&1/2". Next headed to El Paso for some grips. Hope you guys enjoy.

Ugh.

These engraved threads are always bittersweet. As much as I LOVE engraved Smiths, I don't own one....yet.

Gorgeous guns everyone, thanks for the pics!
