I have a 945-1 and the grips are getting a bit loose. The grip screws seem to be a really small hex head but even my smallest hex key is too large. S&W couldn't help so does anyone know the hex size or maybe there is a special tool for this? The hex hole is so small that I needed a loupe to see it.

Since you are new to wheel guns, are you looking down the cylinder when open? The cylinders are smooth. Pictures would help.

I only use CCI standard velocity in my 617. Anything in the 1200 fps range binds up my cylinder

Great gun. Mine works really well with standard velocity ammo but doesn't like high velocity rounds as they bind up the cylinder after a few shots.

I really like Ballistol and it is my go-to cleaner/lube for all firearms. I have a stock of Mpro-7 cleaner which is good but probably won't replace once I use up.
