    45 cal. Revolver or 1911?

Harrumph !! I've always been a S&W revolver fan. My first and still favorite gun is a SS 686 6" barrel .357. Got it right after the Brady bill was passed for $325 new. Bought my first 1911 a little over a year ago and instantly understood why they have such a following. Life is short. Get...

    Trigger thoughts

Lotsa choices As you can see there are a lot of choices, most of them are probably very good choices. I put a Geisele SSA-E trigger in my M&P-15 and really like it. It's a 2 stage trigger: about 2.5 lbs of take up, then about another pound of crisp clean break.because it's 2 stage, you're not...

    Which trigger for 15 Sport?

Congrats I took a look just now at the CMC triggers. Looks like a good choice. Have fun & be safe.

    Which trigger for 15 Sport?

+1 to Chattanooga Phil Well said. Weakening springs is not a panacea to turn a so-so trigger into a great trigger. Sometimes it helps; sometimes it reduces reliability (light strikes on the primer). Great triggers are the result of great design and manufacturing precision.

    Which trigger for 15 Sport?

Let him decide Nobody here is spending his money for him or trying to sell anything. We're just letting him know our experiences. When I decided to re-trigger my M&P 15, I did my research, like he's doing, and read all the user ratings on midway, brownells, etc then made my choice. I plink and...

    Which trigger for 15 Sport?

Geisele SSA-E I have an M&P 15 MOE mid Length and installed the geisele SSA-E trigger. It's a breeze to install. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, about $225, but its worth it in the long run. It's a 2 stage trigger. The 2nd stage breaks like glass...no mushiness at all. I recommend it.

Home defense ammo for the SD9VE

Make sure it feeds reliably I have an SD9VE, along with a couple of Springfield striker fired pistols. As I'm sure you're aware, the SD9VE is a budget pistol. Mine does not feed reliably with hollow points. FMJ rounds are fine. With JHP's, every once in a while, a round will fail to go into...

I know squat about S&W semi pistols, but am considering a CS9 and need input

I've had my CS9 for almost 10 years (I think it was recently introduced at that time). Its a TDA model. I guess they're also available in (or can be converted to) DAO. But as for me, I wouldn't change a thing. The last time I took it out to shoot (plinking on a friend's hilly/wooded lot), my...

    CS9 Advice

Guys, I've had my CS9 for several years now and love it. For such a small gun, its pretty accurate. I do have a question for you pro's: I found my CS9 a little hard to take down in that you have to hold the slide in a certain position while pushing out the slide release lever (which is a pretty...

    New SW9VE came home!

Well you guys will probably think I'm crazy, but let me tell you my experience when I first got my CS9: Usually the first shot (DA)would be OK. Successive (SA) shots would all be low and to the left. I was shooting with the pad (tip) of my right index finger on the trigger. I figured out that...
