Thank you for your effort
Thanks Mike. I do not have access to the manuals so I appreciate your time and effort. That seems to be pretty close since I have had the revolver a long time and just now getting around to shooting it on a regular basis. It's a fantastic revolver and i believe i might...
I am wanting to know if someone has a bluebook or serial number book that could tell me when my model 629 classic was manufactured?
It has a 7.5" ported bbl and serial number is CEE 3377
I really enjoy this site but darn it time is always keeping me somewhere else with family and jobs.
Any help...
Breakaway500 you are certainly correct about that. I would much rather have it "engraved" as opposed to a mere laser printing. But what the heck do i know, I'm just a consumer.
hey, thanks for the response.
I didn't want S & W customer service laughing the entire day because someone called about over cleaning their revolver. I like this forum much better. at least the laughter is in jest!

Much appreciation

thanks for the advice on round frame grips. If I can find square butt grips can I add or remove material to make them look presentable ....as in nice looking?
Can you put square butt grips on a round butt frame? If this has been discussed at length in the forum can you point me in the right direction? Is it a perfect fit if it can be done? I am referring to the N frame model 29
you people are fascinating to read about your knowledge. I am happy you educated me about the purchase price and the background on this revolver.
I'll find another one for my son one of these days that he will admire just as much. Thank you all for your wisdom and replies. I'll be back one day...
