What caliber do you have the most of?

I got caught empty handed during the shortage and decided I would be prepared if it ever happened again. I bought 2 cases of mini mags as soon as they became available and every week since I’ve picked up 200 rounds (plus whatever I’ll use that week) while shopping at Walmart. It adds up. I now...

    M&P22C or Ruger SR22

I'm afraid I'll be no help. We've got both , and our opinions are split. My wife prefers the 22c and I prefer the sr22. However, the 22c has fewer malfunctions and seems to be more accurate. I prefer the sr22 because it's truly ambidextrous and the controls are the same as my m9.It is also less...

Best CCI ammo for M&P 22lr Compact

Our 22c loves mini mags but sometimes balks on sv, even after several thousand rounds.

    22compact mag commits sepuku

Today at the range my wife's 22compact had an amusing incident. After feeding the last round the base plate disengaged, slipped off and launched the retainer. Never saw that happen before. We were able to recover all but the retainer. Will call CS tomorrow to get a replacement. Anyone else...

    Federal Automatch 22 LR Question

I've gone through about 20 boxes of FAM in the past year or so and still have 20 more in my ammo safe . My M&P compact 22 chokes on it, but my Ruger SR22 and 22 rifles usually shoot it without too many failures. Coincidently, the box I opened up today at the range was awful. The SR22 became a...

    Massachusetts compliant 15-22

Thanks for the response, but there’s no need to get a legal opinion from Mass. Note in my original post that we live in Florida and bought the pinned rifle based on its price. CDNN had great prices on them last year about this time. I yanked the pin out a few weeks ago and the rifle is now...

    Massachusetts compliant 15-22

Yeah, I kind of feel foolish now.I don’t know much about rifles and I didn’t realize it was as simple as yanking it out with a pair of pliers. I thought that Mass compliant models might have a different buttstock , one that wouldn’t operate like those sold elsewhere. Never too old to learn new...

    M&P 22LR Compact Issue

My wife has a 22c for about 3 years now. In that time she has put several thousand rounds down range. We have found that it is somewhat picky about what kind of ammo it likes. Standard velocity can be problematic so we only use only high velocity ammo now. It works flawlessly with any high...

    Massachusetts compliant 15-22

Thanks for the information. I looked on you tube and found several videos on how to do it. I thought it probably would be easy but wanted to be sure so I wouldn't screw anything up. Anyway, I've removed it and all is good.

    Massachusetts compliant 15-22

I’m pretty sure that I’ve read about this before, but my searches have come up empty. If you can help I would appreciate it. My son, who lives in Florida, has a Mass compliant 15-22 ( got it cheap from CDNN ). We’ve located the pin that holds the buttstock in place but before we remove it we...

recommend ammo for M&P 22 Compact

My 22 Compact will shoot any hv ammo reliably except browning and federal automatch. Any other brand delivers 100% reliability, however the automatch will fail to feed about 5 or 6 times per 200 rounds. The browning is just garbage ( based on my experience in my 22 ).

    M&P Compact 22 Doesn't Like Federal Ammo

My 22 compact developed a dislike of Federal and CCI sv after 2 years of trouble free use. I sent it back to S&W for a look see. They polished the feed ramp and replaced the slide stop spring (iirc) and its performance is greatly improved. Now it eats everything without issue, but still has the...
