Think I solved my problem with slide locking back. When we pushed the front sight I noticed that there was a slight burr on the lock lever. I little work with a jewelers file and I put 8 mags thru it yesterday with no problems. I do thing the spring is too light that hold the lock lever down though.

I'm using out of a 5lb keg of 2400 a friend gave me years ago. I don't use much at a time. I don't know how old it is but it was made before there was zip codes and it is in a metal container. Goes bag every time I use it.

I put 10 more mags through the gun today. The slide locked back three times with rounds in the mag. Two times with one in the mag and one time with two still in the mag. I only loaded 5 rounds in the mags at a time to get more mags through it with the ammo I had with me. I paid special attention...

I clean and lube all my new firearms before I ever fire a shot. After the first time it did it. I made a concerted effort to not let my thumb get close to the slide lock lever. Picked up a 9EZ at a local gun store running a sale I couldn't pass up. I ran a box of 115 gr. FMJ's through it today. Every thing was great until the last three mags and the slide locked back with the last round still in the mag. Anybody got any ideas or should I run some more ammo in it before...

I handload 124gr. RMR FMJ's for it. I have fired just 5 factory rounds in it to date. I shoot it better than the factory .40 cal barrel.

How is that when you have almost 20% higher velocity with the same projectiles?

Mine is for a Shield. Got the right length. I am experiencing some case bulging. I have a call in to customer service but no return call yet. It bulges the cases like a Glock 23 so not a good thing.

Finally got my barrel yesterday. Gonna load up some 124gr. FMJ's today and try it out. It dropped right in no problems. Never saw a feed ramp that polished on a barrel before. It's mirror like. :)

Plus 1 for the Sweets although since I started using CFE for my Sport 1. I haven't used it on it. I still use 4198 for my varmint gun so I still use it on that.
