how to find year of manufacture by serial #

32-20 mod.1905 thanks to all for the info. tried flashlite thing and the numbers are there . just barley visible and they match. what would be an estimated value ? I was thinking of finding a box of ammo and shooting a couple. would modern ammo if available be safe or should I not fire it ...

would like to find out when this revolver was made. I believe it to be a model 1905. I will take photos later the ser# is 377XX and has six inch pinned barrel. numbers on frame cylinder and flat on barrel bottom all match. Blue appears original and about 90%, bore is bright and cylinder locks...

I have an old M&P that I carried for Years as an Armored Transport/Driver Guard it shows holster wear , but bright bore and clean cylinders. Ser # C 1006XX , no model #, cylinder # match frame. I bought it for $100 at that time ..What would it be worth now?

I just purchased an early k22 no model number inside crane on frame.. Serial no. on cylinder and frame match. K 1529xx Is it safe to fire high velocity rounds or should I use standard velocity ?

Good buy I recently got one similar 27-2 5" brl. target trigger,hammer,and grips for $700 .Like new Ramp Front site.

As an Aircrewman during Viet Nam, I was issued a M&P .38 4" brl. (1964) later was traded for 1911a1 .45 .. When I started Armored Transport I purchased a used M&P 5" brl. Which I carried for 2yrs.. Ser.# C 100601 5screw , no model # anywhere. What is It?
