Shot my first Glock model 26 today, here are my thoughts and impressions......

My (original config) Hellcat is often carried in my cargo shorts pocket (in a pocket holster of course) during the summer. Actually, I’d say that it is in my pocket 90% of the time that I’m wearing pants…😜

    Wanna impress your buddies?

That is all but disgusting! And it’s very close to being that…

Took my Nephew Shootin' Yesterday, Video #11

Seems like the tubes would amplify the noise, especially in the direction of the shooter! I right away thought that the tubes were for helping keep the muzzle (the shooter, really) from pointing above the berm. It happens a lot more than most people know about.

ARREST MADE IN SIG DEATH ON WYOMING AIR FORCE BASE

I actually read the manual for (almost) anything that I buy. Not so much because I don’t know anything about it, but because I’m curious if there is anything special about it! So I read to find hidden gems, in case it isn’t a well known feature. TV’s, radios, drills, anything…oh, and firearms...

    Ruger Blackhawk Old Model Purchase

I traded an original Flat top in 44 mag, unaltered, for an Arisaka type 38 a couple of years ago. I have always disliked the extreme slowness of any SA revolver, and conversely, always loved old military bolt action rifles. Win, win!

    Pachmayr pistol range box

Here is one my FIL made back in the fifties, when he got out of the service. He was a master class shooter in both rifle and pistol. You can see that I had to replace the original leather strap and bindings, as they were badly rotted. I added the scope mount/arm when I shot my first match at...

    RIA .22 bolt gun

Very nice! I’m a bolt, 22 lr freak, especially the mag fed ones.

    Henry Fundraiser rifle inbound!

I just bought one of the 50, TEAM KEANE fundraiser rifles. I’ve considered doing this for years. Every time I wait, while consternating, they sell out. This time, I snagged one of the better looking ones…as far as the stock design goes. Though there have been many cool and compassionate designs...

    Flat latch Model 36

Very nice! Just a few months ago, I sold my 1956 flat latch Chief's Special. With box and original receipt ($58 + tax in '56) for $500

    444 Marlin quandary

For a free Quick Load type program you could try Gordon's Reloading Tool. The more info you put in the more accurate it is.

    444 Marlin quandary

We got the 444 Marlin out today. At 25 yd, from a rest, both loads shot exactly the same. And that was very good in my opinion. Both loads (240 gr LRNFP and 28.0 and 30.0 IMR4198) shot a one hole, 3 shot group of 9/16”! And two more in each group opened them both up 1 ½” exactly. I may consider...

    444 Marlin quandary

Looking at my picture, I do plan to load to the crimp groove, and that still leaves more room in the case than with the FTX bullet. Besides that, without modifying the crimp die, a good firm crimp is not achievable with either the seating/crimp die, nor the collet crimp die. Lots of bearing...

    444 Marlin quandary

Not sure we are talking about the same things. The bullet I want to use (and will) has a crimp groove. When seated to the groove on my bullet, or to the cannelure on the FTX bullet, the lead bullet (my bullet) leaves an additional .137" more case depth (base of bullet to base of case), and...
