    If in good shape I would snap it up before it is gone. I've had my 41 since '73 and it still out shoots me.

    You probably over polished the sear or rounded the edge. Will most likely have to replace it.

    I've had my 39-2 since the mid 70's and still consider it one of my best carry firearms. I have never had a FTF. I use commercial as well as semi wadcutter reloads.

    Picked up a model 41...which ammo is best?

    M41 ammo I've use T22, remmington, wolf, over the last 40 years with my 41. But they all eventually had tons of duds. I use to buy by the case but now I only buy 2 or 3 bricks at a time. I have only use CCI standard velocity for the last 10 years of so. It has not had hardly any duds.
