I've used the cheap ones, just wastes money. About the best cheap one I've found is the eXplore Optics min max but I've replaced it with a Burris Fast Fire II on my PX4 SD. I liked the Fast Fire II so much I bought a new Fast Fire III for the TRR8. The Burris just gets on target faster for me...

Something else of note, the TRR8 weighs less than other N frame guns due to the Scandium Alloy Frame. I love mine, it's by far my favorite gun. Just got back from the range at lunch, shot a quick 100 rounds of 38's. It's just a joy to shoot, great gun!

I saw a new 686 SSR at one of the shows a couple weeks back, not sure if it was Conroe or GRB. There is a show this weekend at Reliant, probably a good chance to find one there as all the big dealers should be there.

So I have the opportunity to buy a 625-3 and pretty sure I know the answer but wanted to double check. Is it .45 ACP and 45 LC or is it one or the other?

I own a 686+ 4" and a TRR8 (627 with rails and the Scandium Alloy Frame) the 686+ is smaller but weighs a little more @ 38.9 oz whereas the TRR8 weighs in @ 35.3. I'd say I like the TRR8 better but like I said it's bigger and you can tell, the 686+ is a great shooter too. Actually I can't pick...

I have a TRR8 (the TRR8 has a removable front rail and the window through on the ejector rod), it's an "N" frame but lighter than my 686 even though the 686 is smaller. My 12 year old can shoot it no problem and until I got the smaller 686, the TRR8 was his favorite. There is less felt recoil on...

Forgot to add that my front rail was also loose. The screws are to long so I added a small piece of packing foam as a gasket. Tightened up fine with no visible abnormilties.
