To the best of my recollection the woods on the 13 and the 66 are French Walnut. The wood on the 19 I believe is English Walnut. The 547 is Bubinga. I can’t remember what the wood is on the 681 but I do remember Jennifer telling me me it is something they don’t come across often
Finally found some time to get into my safe. Here is my small Nickel collection. Clockwise from top left 13-3 3” with Curt Harlow grips, 27-2 5” with Culina/Harlow grips, 15-4 with Culina grips and a 29-2 4” with Keith Brown grips.
I recently acquired this Beautiful Model 29-2 4" Nickel revolver. It is in near perfect condition with the smallest of turn lines. The original grips were kind of plane janes so I replaced with these really nice Keith Brown Black Walnut grips.
I recently picked up this NIB Model 13-3 3" Nickel revolver. It has the 13-2 frame overstamped with the 3. It also has a recessed cylinder. I have the original grips but I put on a set of these beautiful Curt Harlow RB Target grips in his Roper pattern. I also included my 13-2 with Culina...
My 686s Part 1
Turns out I have 7 - 686s. Part 1 - I have a 686 No Dash 2.5", 686-4 3", 686-3 3" Comp, and a 686 CS1 3". The 3" guns all are wearing Culinas. (OEM grips are safely put away)
