I had the same problem with a model 637. It spit what ever it was out
and actually made my ear bleed. Thought it was the ammo so I tried a different brand and it did it again. I sent it back to smith& wesson. They replaced the cylinder and did something else but I cant remember what it was.
I have a 637 that has the problem sticking on 3 cylinders. The gun was recently sent back for a different problem and they replaced the whole cylinder. When I got it back I noticed it sticking on 3 of the cylinders. If I send it back for this, it will be the third time this gun has been sent...
That doesnt sound good. The gun isnt very old. Already had to send it back to S&W once because the firing pin was bad. I never thought I would have this kind of problems out of a s&w revolver.
2 different times while shooting my 637 I had something hit me in the ear.The first time my ear bled a little. I thought it might have been the ammo. The second time my ear didnt bleed but it stung like crazy and I was useing different ammo. Anybody got any idea what caused this?
Can I dryfire or should I buy snap caps. Also how do yall rank the J frame as far as shootability as compared to the LCR or maybe some of the small 9mm pistols on the market. LC9 or
PF9 ?
I have a model 637 I bought about a year ago. I shoot it fair at 7 yards single action but I stink when shooting double action. Im all over the place. I have been shooting guns all my life but not to much with hand guns. I figure I could defend myself at 6 feet ok but not much more. Can some...
Thanks for all the replys. When you dont know the answer, ask the people that do. Right? I think I will give the 158 gr ammo a try. Sounds like it is working for yall. Thanks again for the help.
I was just wondering if its a good idea to shoot +P ammo with a J frame 38? Mine is a model 637 airweight. Just seems like if you shoot very much there might be more wear and tear. What do yall think?
I read that Smith& wesson designed there snub nose revolvers to shoot most accurate with 158 grain ammo and that lighter ammo tends to shoot low. Anybody know if this is true?
I tried two different brands of factory ammo and they both did it when firing double action. Are you saying the spring is just defective because it hasnt been shot enough to be worn out.
I was shooting my model 637 double action and started gettin ftf. The primers on the rounds that didnt fire were lightly dented. I had one out of every 5 rounds fail to fire. I tried the rounds that didnt fire a second time and they fired. It would only do it when firing double action. Any...
