    And yes, I have watched several videos on reassembly. And everyone of them it just pops right in. I am a fairly strong guy and I have pushed as hard as possible.

    bsmiley it does not compress when I try to put it in the slide. I can compress the spring by pushing on the spring very hard.

    I bought a new Shield 9mm and broke it down to clean and oil it and when I tried to put it back together I could not get the recoil spring to go back in. I have a fair amount of experience with Glocks, Walthers and even have a SD9VE and have never had a problem. Can anyone give any advice????

    difficult to eject spent shells

    The unfired rounds slide easily into the chamber. I also tried taking the spent rounds and hammering them into the chamber. I was told that is a crude but effective method of removing carbon. But that didn't work either. How do I attach the sandpaper to the drill shaft?
