Yeah my 47 year old eyes ain't what they used to be. Worse indoors I notice, maybe it'smore lighting and my progressive lenses which I don't really like. Maybe I'll pull the scope off my Winchester 70 and try it out before investing in a permanent sight.

Thanks JaPes. I was looking at a few sight options, don't wanna break the bank but a decent reflex or red dot is what I had in mind. Have a day planned at end of month to go out to our favorite shooting spot on BLM land so I have a few weeks to shop around.

Just run my first rounds through my sport yesterday.Thin coat for me, a drop or two on a qtip run that in the bearing surfaces, two grooves on bottom and either side of gas key.

Not in California. I got a 10 round ASC. I am going to write to S&W about this. I could only get 9 rounds in it either by hand or strip. Last round I used in that mag misfired one missfed, dented primer chewed up rim.

whats needed Well I know whats needed immediately. Magazines! This ACS aluminum mag that came with my sport is junk, can only get 9 rounds in it, terribly sharp edges. Glad I bought a Magpul Pmag prior, world of difference. None of the local gunshops sell the pmag, so I will have to order a few...
