+1 to Jdvoss. I put an duty/carry action enhancement kit on my Shield and it is a very crisp 5 lb pull, and the squishy m&p take up gone. On my M&P 9mm CORE I installed the Competition kit...but must say the difference was much less- did lower trigger pull to about 4.5 lbs, negligibly smoother...

I just installed a 6 MOA Vortex Viper. Very easy using a plate that came with the CORE. I can't recall which number, but it is the only one for which the holes line up. Runs great...just getting used to finding the dot quickly. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I too watched the various videos available from Apex and others, and they served me well. I did it without a sight pusher- used brass and steel punches and a hammer and was able to get sights off. They are definitely a little stubborn. Pre-soaked with breakfree (I think), and touched a soldering...

You're probably asking about "Optics Ready" sights, but I'm just running Dawson Precision irons (fiber front/all black rear). Love them...but must admit I've been Jonseing a Vortex Viper. Otherwise, did an Apex Competition kit, and that's it. I really like the gun, and have a long way to go...
