Spyderco knives - did a bit of research this morning and learned quite a bit!

If you like Spyderco and I do, You need to locate and purchase on of these for your collection. It's actually a knife and will cut. Stainless on a stainless chain. You some times find them on Ebay but not very often. This was a gift from my wife 30 yrs ago or more. Dano

Copper Coated .22 vs Bare Lead

People say the M&P 15-22 isn't as accurate as say a CZ bolt. Having never owned shot a CZ Bolt, I couldn't say but my 15-22 shoots anything I put in it but prefers CCI AR Tactical Copper Coated solids. This was just after I bought it 5 years ago. I took the Bushnell Red/green dot off and put the...

So… is the Beretta M9 still the Worst?

I've owned 2 m92's An M9 and a 92XI SOA. Didn't like the M9. The only ammo the M9 would shoot with consistency was 115 gr NATO. And was about as accurate at 25 yds as a NAA .22 . The 92XI SOA does shoot well and will spit out any ammo I've tried. It's accurate as any full size gun I ever shot...

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

I'm old school. started my LEO career in 69. Issue was a 67 model 10 4 inch and I bought a 69 m36 snub. Next department issue was a 4" Colt Lawman in .38/.357. Still carried the model 36. Didn't switch to semi auto until the mid 80's and then it was a Colt 1911. I own 5 snubs, LCRx, LCR, m60-4...

    S&W 350PD 22mag shooting low

    1. Use a rest, preferably one that prevents barrel dip when you press the trigger. 2. Try different wts. and brands of ammo. Some do like the better quality ammo over cheaper range ammo. 3. Have someone you know that shoots and knows what they are doing shoot it. A range officer if you know one...

This would be funny if it wasn't true. For me it's my lower back. I have a cracked L5 and was asked the same thing. The VA's useless to Vietnam Vets. Dano

If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

DC Metro, 1969. I started my LEO career as a DC Police Officer and my issue weapon was a 67 Model 10 4" barrel. I'd love to have another just to mount on my LEO career wall. Dano

If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

I have a 3" 66-2, 1985 model, one of 4195 and love it but if I could only have 1, period, it'd b my 60-14 2inches of magnum power that you can pocket carry, DA/SA and with laser grips at true gun fight ranges, you can't beat it IMHO. At 24.5 oz loaded with 125gr Hornady Critical Defense ammo...

Vietnam was my introduction to store bought liquor. Only thing we had back in the "World" was homemade stuff. One uncle made Shine and another made wine. I soon found out that one could be fooled by the lesser burn of Jim Beam. The end result was the same as my uncle's finest shine and tasted a...

Have you ever bid on a unseen group of gun items and when you get them, this happened?

Years ago, a friend of mine was at an estate sale. He had bought a Garand and an M1 carbine. A Colt 45 70 series came up and knowing I wanted one, he called me. I told him to start at $20 buck. You may not believe this, but no one else bid. He paid the $20 plus fees and brought it to me the...

    MEMES

I graduated in 67 and we never had Pizza. Best thing we had was the Goulash. Greasy hamburger, macaroni, diced tomatoes with a little sauce and spices. Man I loved that stuff. Still do. ;) My first taste of real Pizza was in DC in 71. Like sjmjax said 'a revelation". Dano

    Plinking Fun Chinese SKS

Pawn shop/gun shop here got a case of them in in 1991. Layered in grease Norincos. I bought one for $90 bucks out the door. Great little gun. He sold the whole crate in a couple weeks and ordered more. Deer hunters around here bought them as fast as he could get them in for awhile. Been a lot of...

    The Best .22 Ever Made

I agree 110%. Bought mine in 1966 and it's had thousands of rounds thru it in the past 58 years and still runs like a champ.
