I prefer the 3.6". Seems like it balances better for me. Actually for carry I prefer the subcompact even more (it's also 3.6" with a 12rd flush fit) with a 15rd as backup. Between that and a full size 4.25" you're well served for any role, imho.
It isn't dead and it probably isn't going away here in America, at least for a long time. It IS on its way to becoming a niche caliber though, which is fine. For most people the 9mm does everything needed. That's all.
Thanks for the reply. You made up my mind lol. Going with a milled slide. If I want one without a RDS I've got a 3.6 compact that works well. Thanks for the insight.
Pffft! Beer AND warm gin, neat from a dirty glass with a hair in it are BOTH for sissies. I drink hot rotgut corn liquor using a rusty copper cup that cuts my lips as I sip. Not that I sip at all. Nope, great, chugging quaffs of the stuff for me! Slainte!! That's gotta be worth...
That's exactly right, imho. The laws & intrusions are at a point where many people are obeying those laws that are easy to obey, and ignoring the rest as overly burdensome & onerous. I doubt very much that the feds have either the manpower or willpower to engage in any sort of mass...
I find no functional difference in conceal-ability (is that a word?) between the 7 or 8 rounders. I use the 8-rounders exclusively because I can get a full grip with them. So an 8-rounder in the gun & one for spare. YMMV. Currently carrying in a N82 (Nate Squared) AIWB holster. Works great...
Hey guys,
First post here, and just want to clarify.....the 357 S&W barrel is "drop-in" right? Any other changes needed for it to work in the 40? I know mags are the same. What about sights?
