I thought this is going to hurt when I got ready to shoot it with .357. However, it wasn't that bad.
The only thing I really like about this gun is that it is convenient to put in a paddle holster and run to the store. Loading and unloading an auto-loader for that task seems a little over the...
I picked up some wood S&W J-Frame grips from MidwayUsa and installed them on my model 60 (also the lock removed). Anybody else use these grips on the .357 J-Frame? I like that they are smaller for carry on my belt. Shooting was not as pleasant as the stock rubber ones, but I did OK.
What do...
My S&W1911 base model has been flawless. I do not like when Kimber bone heads point at my external extractor and say "That is a problem". Whatever, S&W makes a great factory 1911! I have a Colt series 70 re-issue that doesn't extract nearly as consistent as the S&W. The Colt will plop them...

Russ, I'm going to pass. Thanks for your time e-mailing me.
Great revolver! Much better than the MIM lock laden turds S&W poops out the factory today. I'm a hater of the new guns. Your post cheered me up. Maybe there is a no-dash 686 out there for me.
Does anybody know if the old "Bianchi Lighting Grips" will work on a modern J-Frame .357 model 60? I would like to use these grips on a model 60 manufactured in 2006. I know the grip's hammer shroud will cover the lock. This is not an issue as the lock has already been removed.
So, has...
John,
I thank you again for your work creating "The Plug". I'm very happy with the product. Of course, I hope the product becomes unnecessary because S&W stops putting that ridiculous lock in their revolvers.
I read that Colt had to wrestle with their own legal team to come to terms with selling Series 70 firing systems again. I wish I could remember where I found it. Basically, the guns without firing pin blocks are labeled as re-issue, and are described as reproductions of HISTORIC firearms. That...
