Thanks, guys. I am keeping things the way they are. I posted on another site as well and this issue has been apparent for years (since 2006). All answers were good and Pisgah's seems the most plausible. But for the sake of argument I bet if you paid $79.99 for an HK magazine there would be no...
Why I have the M&P 40 FS
I picked the S&W for the reason that they designed the gun around the caliber-not the other way around. Off the top of my head I cannot recall another pistol that was born a .40SW. My Glock is a Gen4 G17. I like picking the nominal ("original") caliber whenever possible.
When I load up my M&P40 FS mag I can make it rattle. This seems pretty cheap to me. Three out of four of my mags do this to varying degrees. This seems real cheap coming from S&W. Even my S&W 9VE did not do this on the three mags I had for it. Is this just the springs being cheap?
I try to use the 60/40 split. 60% of pressure. From my support hand and 40% from my trigger hand. Do not squeeze the grip when you squeeze the trigger.Just squeez quickly focusing on that front sight and you will hit bull at least a couple times at 7yds. Practice practice practice.

I did another post. Go to the m&p pistol section and scroll down
you will notice there a paper clip by my post. This means it has pics. This post did not have pics downloaded correctly. My posts are pretty close together.
I noticed this today on my FS M&P 40. The anomoly has no bare metal showing (that is just light) and appears finished over. Anyone else have something like this on their M&P or M&P Shield? Looks like it slipped through QC maybe. What do you guys think? Doesn't affect shooting and I am not...
I can see them
How can they not be showing when I have posted them and I see them on the blog??? I uploaded them, previwed them, and then posted them before logging off. I just came back on and see my two posts with pics and then your post says they are not showing.
I don't get it.
Don't be red faced
The Shield is a different kind of gun. I had trouble stripping mine and even a harder time putting the slide back on and I have been shooting a long time. Have you pulled back on the slide as far as it will go to lock the slide back? The Shield has a very stout recoil system...
Here is a better pic of the bore edge. I never dropped the barrel or hit it on anything. I have seen forge defects on plenty of blued Ruger handgun over the years so I wo0ndered if this were the same thing.
I have been out twice with my M&P 40 FS and today I noticed that the coil pin for the extractor is not flush with the inside of the slide. It is sunk a little in the top of the slide and peeks out a little inside the slide. My 9mm Shield is not like this. Is this a loosening coil pin? I cannot...
