Yeah, I loved the 438 but it was too big for pocket carry. Would you clarify "for the time being"? Don't you expect the BG 380 to last very long? I have a Model 10-5 from '66. Such a smooth, light trigger. 45 years old and just getting better. Guess I can't expect that type of service from a...
I wanted a pocket carry pistol. Compared the Ruger LCP, Taurus TCP, S&W Bodyguard 380 and a Kel-Tec P-3AT. Of the four the Taurus clearly had the best trigger. I also like the lock back on an empty magazine. The S&W was about $100 more expensive and I thought the trigger was very heavy. I...
Check out S&W new products for 2010 for new model with 2.5" barrel.
I have a 438 and called S&W 6 months ago to see if I could purchase
a 3" barrel that would fit. S&W said they had nothing that would fit. Maybe they do now.
Hard Draw w/Fobus
I experienced the hard draw on my Fobus model 357 with a 438 bodyguard. I spread the two pieces of the holster apart at the trigger guard area. Used a small amount of silicone adhesive to cement a small piece of a wooden matchstick between the halves. The piece of wood fell...
Yes, it does have a lock. Single action helps to sight in a Crimson Trace laser grip. I had to send mine back to S&W for no fires. They repaired the yoke and replaced the firing pin. Goes BANG now all the time. I use it for concealed carry.
Light Strike
Same thing happened with my new Model 438. Sent it back to S&W. They replaced firing pin and repaired the yoke. Goes bang every time now. (approx. 500 rounds)
I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information you have shared. It will certainly get me started out on the right foot with reloading. Thanks again! David
What basic equipment would I need to reload 38 Special, 357 Magnum and 9MM ammo? What would the approximate cost be? Can you suggest a few suppliers where I might obtain the equipment. Thanks for any help with this.
