    Ethical Question

I have a 98k with Waffenamt stamps, I didn't buy the rifle because of them and they never bothered me. Having a cool, historical rifle to take out to the range isn't the same as supporting the cause that commissioned the rifle 80 years ago. The fact that a tool of war of the "thousand year...

Bodyguard 2.0 sights / ammo questions

I tried Herter's (Bass Pro house brand made by Winchester) and Blazer today, the Herter/Winchester shot tighter groups but both were low at 10 yards just like all the other ball ammo I tried. So far everything has fed fine except Magtech, but those were the first rounds out of the gun so I...

Why the disdain for “rich” people ?

    Ditto Ronald Reagan.

    Bodyguard 2.0 with safety

Yeah, from everything I've seen you're pretty much guaranteed to have to drift the sights. I did on mine.

Why the disdain for “rich” people ?

The ones who irk me are the people who were born on third base but act like they hit a triple. You know, inherited Daddy's money and have a string of failed businesses behind them, don't pay their bills and act like they're business geniuses anyway. I'm not wealthy, but as I like to remind my...

WELL THE STINKY STUFF JUST HIT THE AIR CIRCULATION DEVICE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Agreed, but Russia will absolutely never go nuclear over Iran and everyone knows it. This is a country in legitimate danger of a ground invasion by Finland, Putin knows he can only push his luck so far before everything collapses around him. And I apologize for the tone of my earlier post- I'd...

    Bodyguard 2.0 with safety

As somebody who just went through this exact same decision-making process and ended up buying a BG2.0, here are my thoughts: There are several things that have to be considered when selecting a carry gun, and they all impact the others. An advantage in one area means a tradeoff in another, you...

Dunno if you've seen the news lately, but Russia has its hands full fighting year 3 of a disastrous war they should have won in week 3. If Iran thinks they can get help from Russia, I think they're going to be disappointed- this is a country so desperate that they're buying arms from North Korea.

Bodyguard 2.0 sights / ammo questions

I'd give that a shot (bah-dum-pah!), but there is no possible way I'll ever need 500 rounds of .380 XD, and even at that price it's still too expensive to use as range ammo.

WELL THE STINKY STUFF JUST HIT THE AIR CIRCULATION DEVICE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Especially since Iranian C&C is badly disrupted. It doesn't take too much deductive reasoning to realize that even a proxy attack on US forces would likely trigger US involvement towards Iran itself which would be a problem the Iranians do not need at this point, but deductive reasoning isn't...

Operation DOWNFALL - the invasion that was never launched.

Outstanding post. Both my grandfathers were Pacific war navy vets (one Seabee, one on a destroyer) who would have been involved in the invasion of Japan. One fact I didn't see anyone mention (apologies if I missed it) is that the US struck so many Purple Heart medals in anticipation of...

WELL THE STINKY STUFF JUST HIT THE AIR CIRCULATION DEVICE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

What concerns me at this point is if Iran just packs whatever half-finished nuclear material they have into ballistic missiles to make a bunch of halfassed dirty bombs. That will 100% trigger US involvement and the fall of the Iranian state, but that's the danger of wiping out too much of your...

It's hard to shoot down an artillery shell, though. You also can't electronically jam a 155 round in flight, and they're less weather-sensitive than drones. Tactically, I think tube artillery still has a place on the modern battlefield. It is however clear that drones are now officially a thing.
