Lots of misinformation on this thread. Do your own research and find your own answers to verify but here are some hints. 1) What is the best AR type .223/5.56 on the market for around $1,200? Depends on your needs as far as configurations but top tier AR's are avilable at or under that price...

Lead will foul the barrel if you get it hot. If you slow plink you might not have isssues. Wax will not prevent fouling. I dont shoot it because I get the barrel hot and it fouls heavily. You can get plated for a little bit more.

Suck it up. No pain no gain. I had one land on my lip before. If I dont leave with one arm burn I didnt shoot enough. Besides chicks dig scars :D

Welcome. Nice choice I have the MOE also. I love this gun. Cant help you with the Eotech clone I run Aimpoint on my 556 so I use Primary Arms M4 clone on my 22 but youre on the right path. :cool:

The Federal is my choice because its copper plated and wont foul the bore. That is a great deal!

I left mine out. The 15-22 isnt a fighting gun and I dont think its necessary for this application.

I am right handed but left eye dominant so shoot rifles left handed - No worrries, go for it :)
