So I was doing my Christmas baking last Thursday and I was reminded that it was on that day back in 2007 when I was also finishing my Christmas prep that I received a Model 28-2 in the mail—it was that revolver that was the subject of my first post here.
I wasn't as skilled with gun photos as...
If you owned a handgun that was re-classified from Restricted to Prohibited (generally, any handgun with a barrel 4” or shorter or chambered in a centrefire caliber .32 or smaller) you could keep them and continue to purchase additional ones, although no new versions could be imported into the...
Thanks! It is indeed in very good condition but I will be shooting it for sure! As nice a carry gun as it would be (especially with the new grips) it will remain a range-only gun since I’m in Canada.
I thought it'd make a good companion for the Bren Ten. :) I picked up that one up three years ago—it was my Holy Grail gun—and I wasn’t really looking for a Bodyguard but I saw this nice-looking one at a good price and went for it.
While the factory wood grips give it an iconic look they don’t...

I'm still here, at least :). Let me get those old Photobucket links cleaned up so the pictures can be seen. I probably shouldn't have promised not to re-sell that Model 28, though. :o
I do—they fit my hands much better than most finger-groove grips, although since they are very hard they don't prove any cushioning for magnum loads.
I posted a more detailed thread about them here: VZ Grips on a 3" CS-1...first impressions **Range report on post 10**
Sorry for the late update to the thread, folks. I ended up keeping the original Model 469 last year, but my cataract surgery that I had soon after I made the original post affected my near-focus vision enough that I couldn't see the sights that well and in my disappointment I ended up selling...
My favourite wooden grips are Ahrends Retro Target (square butt) and Retro Banana (round butt)...I last purchased them several years ago so don't know if those are still available. I've got small hands and they fit me pretty good. Like you, I love VZs on 1911s—I've owned quit a few sets. I...
Oh my goodness, thank you for the kind replies. As for a quick update, I still have the GP100, and my youngest child (featured in post #1) started High School this week :)
