Mine is one of the many S&W Safety Hammerless .32 top break New Departure revolvers. The short 2” barrel version is also known as a bicycle gun. I heard that dogs chased bikes and that bike riders would shoot at the dogs (hopefully just to scare them away).

That is my serial number. I wonder if the OGCA member who had it on his table was the buyer in 2023.

That auction was 2 years ago. Seems like a great price. Some have gone 2k plus at Rock Island. Worth a search. Thanks for the info!

That scroll and geometric engraving appears to be in the style of Colt engraver Cuno Helfricht who worked at Colt from 1871-1921.

Have not shot it. I've fired several Model 63's and decided to leave this one alone.

Beautiful! Those grips make the engraving pop even more!
