    Cross Dominant

Me too!! I always thought I was in the minority group! So far, it appears I'm in the majority!

    Cross Dominant

You must have missed these posts! ;) Even with both eyes open, you must focus on one of the guns in front of you. I sight the one on the right (left eye dominant)

    Cross Dominant

You're not a drummer, are you? :D Being a drummer, I do some things left handed, even though I'm right handed. Drummers are more apt to be ambidextrous than most.

    Cross Dominant

Thanks for the tips. Actually I've gotten used to shooting cross dominant. I use a modified isosceles stance, and I shoot with both eyes open, in which I automatically sight the pistol on the right (left eye). Long guns are a different story! I use my non-dominant eye for them, but, I don't...

    Cross Dominant

I was just wondering how many here are cross dominant (like me) and how many are same side dominant. I know most of you know what cross dominant means, but, for those that don't know, it means that you sight with the eye opposite of your shooting hand. In my case, I shoot right handed, but...

    Weaver vs Isoceles

Ditto, on both. I'm cross dominant also, and, I shoot with both eyes open, with both thumbs forward.

    Uplula Loader, Shield 9mm

Uplula is the best thing to come along, since they put mayonnaise in a jar! ;) I went out and bought one when I got my Taurus PT140. The mags for it are 10 round .40S&W double stack. The first round is ridiculous and the third round feels like the spring is already compressed! I've never...

    Shield 9mm Magazine Spring

I actually considered the MagGuts, even before reading about the faulty springs. At the time, they seemed a bit pricey just for an extra round, but after seeing so many posts about folding factory springs, I may reconsider. I'm gonna put some more rounds through them before I decide.

    Shield 9mm Magazine Spring

Thanks, that gives me some relief.

    Shield 9mm Magazine Spring

I've read several posts about the folding magazine spring issue, and it's making me a little paranoid! I've got two 8rds & one 7rd magazine. I've only put 120 rds through them, with equal time devoted to each one. That's roughly 40 rds apiece. After reading about the spring issues, I took each...

    Robbery Scenario: What to do?

I agree 100% that range time & training is very important. My original question was from the legal standpoint. On one hand, I don't want to stand by & watch someone be executed. On the other hand, I don't want to go to prison for possibly saving someone's life, based on the assumption that the...

The Achiles heel of the Shield

Thanks guys! Now I don't feel like a "rookie" anymore :D I learned the hard way, with my Bodyguard. I pinched several blood blisters from the little .380, but It also happened with my Taurus PT140. By the time I bought my Shield, I had already changed my mag loading technique.

Finally! I got to try my new Shield 9 today!

Appreciate the info. I'm probably gonna add the Talon grips to my Bodyguard & possibly the Shield. As far as the holster goes, I have the N82 Tactical Professional model, and it's one of the best, IMO. It's more expensive than some, but its really well made, and one of the most comfortable. Oh...

Finally! I got to try my new Shield 9 today!

I figured there would be a slight difference between the two, but, I really didn't notice any.
