Not sure I am in the correct forum, but I have a Walther PPK/S-1 manufactured by Smith & Wesson and the initial double action trigger pull is EXTREMELY heavy.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be done to help lighten the pull some?
Thanks in advance for your help.

"when you guys are using the laser how far away is your targets"---I have been practicing at about 7-8 yards. I got the gun for close work, if needed, like in my house or car.

I have one of the BG38's and while I haven't shot it a lot I like it just fine. I have the laser sight adjusted to where the bullet strikes where the laser dot is. I haven't really been using the iron sights.
Thanks again for the suggestions and comments. I have about decided to leave it "as is" and learn to put up with the heavy first pull. (Or, just manually cock it).
eak...
I have a PPK/S .380 made by S & W under license by Walther and the initial double action trigger pull is quite heavy.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be done to lighten the double action trigger pull?
Thanks for your help.

I have a 29-2 with 8 3/8" barrel that is nickel plated complete with the mahoganey presentation box that I bought new over 30 years ago. I really like mine, but I have retired it and don't shoot it any more--I just look at it!!
I now have my S & W Model 59 repaired. I took it to a local gunsmith and the sear spring had to be replaced. Works great now. Thanks to everyone that gave me some information and help.
I have a Model 59, SN A250xxx that I bought over 30 years ago. In checking it today I noticed that it won't stay cocked for the single action firing. It seems to work ok for the double action but I can't get the hammer to stay cocked otherwise.
Can someone give me some suggestions as to why...
