Range report and update on trigger job and Magazine problem

Went to the range today and popped off another 250 rounds . Went over the 1k mark ! First I have to address the magazine issue I had with my Shield 9mm . The 7 rnd mag wouldn't lock back all the time . I took the follower out and did a light buff with 1000 grit sandpaper . Now it works perfect ...

Can You Add a mag safety to a M&P

Yes , the OP got his question aswered .... You can put a fifth wheel on a Corvette . You can also learn proper gun storage , train all people in the household including children ( my 10 year old has better gun handleing skills than most at LGS) . And not buy into gun myth's . The Nannie state...

Can you add a fifth wheel to a Corvette ? I'm sure you could but its "like teats on a boar hog " as my father would say . If you want a mag disconect but a gun designed for one .

M&P Shield 9 Shooting Way Low Left

First time out for me I was grouping good , just .... wait for it.... LOW AND LEFT . I knew what was happening , thin , new gun .... I'm puling left and down . Must work on trigger control . I then did a little dry firing (1-2k ) and it got better . I then did alittle trigger work and it got...

    DIY Alternative Overtravel stop

Thanks Spectraman , it's real easy . Right after you place the putty , it is still mallable . I smooth it out and then pull trigger back until contact . I then use that as a template for the face of the travel stop . Then it's just small jewelers files and a little at a time .

    DIY Alternative Overtravel stop

After doing my own trigger job  the only issue with trigger was the amount of overtravel . I decided to try something I've used on other polymer pistols . I took some Marine metal putty and made a physical overtravel for my shield . I started by roughing up the existing overtravel nub...

Problem with 7 round Shield mag lockback .

Heard from Smith and Wesson , they are sending out a new mag . I have broken the mag down , and I think the problem is the follower . There seems to be some flash , mismolding of the plastic follower . I may try reshaping the follower to see if that helps .

    Legality of aftermarket trigger parts

All she had to do was not put her finger on the trigger and no "Bang,Bang" . She got off easy . The minute you put finger to trigger amd pull , no matter how light , yuo pulled trigger not trigger pulled finger . She and her lawyer were idiot's . Either you meant to pull trigger and it was a...

    I've been Sticky for 3 days !

I picked up a Sticky holster for my Shield 9mm on Saterday . I wasn't too sure about it but for the price I knew I could use it for a pistol sheath in the car or as a pocket holster if it didn't work out . So far I've used it IWB with jeans , gym shorts with draw string , and even some "around...

Problem with 7 round Shield mag lockback .

Left the 7 rnd mag loaded all night , emptied mag and tried to lock it back .... No joy . It still won't lock back all the time , about 30% of the time . Waiting to hear back from S&W .
