Thank you for reply, I had a 4" 686 and loved it. I will enjoy this gun for a long time.

I just bought a 686 Plus revolver, when I release the cylinder the cylinder pin scratches the frame on the way out, I posted a pic. S&W cust svc says that this is normal but I have had revolvers in the past and don't remember this scratching occurring on those. Thanks in advance. Ed

686+ I have owned a 686+ for years and have shot thousands of rounds (mostly reloads) through it, it's a great gun, a great shooter!
