    Presentation Case Question

Others have pointed out the correct style case. Below is case and all that came with my 80ish 29-2. I'm original owner. Forum elite jcelet was gracious enough to give me advice on how to do it myself. That is, re-lining the case after the original material disintegrated.

442-2 Rubber Loose on Boot Grip

Greetings, My Airweight spends most of its time in my pocket or IWB. I just noticed the rubber is pulling loose from the nylon/plastic grip frame. Any recommendations on proper adhesive to resecure them with? I really do like these stock rubber grips. Just a fantastic effective grip on...

Model 36-1 Box w/ Everything but Gun

A co-worker recently sold an excellent condition 1976 3" 36-1 to a large local gun store as part of a trade. He did receive an almost fair price. It was offered to me first but I passed as I just didn't have a passion for it. When offered to me he said he had the box but never could produce...

    Shot all these today..

A great shooting session for sure! While Hoppes and a proven CLP are always part of my "arsenal", Ballistol has long become my go-to for so many applications.

Model 10-6 vs 10-8 at the Range

Would you say the same for a Model 14?

Model 10-6 vs 10-8 at the Range

Acquired a large amount of 38 spl ammo as a gift from a very generous co-worker. Assorted bullets including +P. Had a gas blasting away with my 10-6 and 10-8. But when it came to single action "precision" shooting I was reminded of the difference between these two Model 10's of mine. The...

    A Collection of 686's

Congratulations on an amazing collection. I too thought it was the best S&W 357 I could buy at the time. Bought my one and only in 1991. Still have the receipt.

    A Spanish 38 Long Clone

Thanks Gary. It's been a few years since I've posted pics. Wasn't able to do it the way I wanted, but I think I did provide three working links. Pics added to original post. I've got more if needed but I do believe you have answered my question! And yes, current owner has pulled of the...

    A Spanish 38 Long Clone

Greetings, A dear lifelong friend has forwarded me pictures of a friend's revolver he wanted me to assess for him. I was expecting an old 38 but what the pictures show is a strange looking "S&W" emblem on the stocks and frame. Likewise, there is a stamp on metal "SPAIN". Sooo, is this a...

    Original wood grips

And do not apply any TruOil or other finish to the checkering. As others have said, clean with toothbrush and use Ren wax. Can "polish" the Ren wax in the checkering with a toothbrush. Applying any oil/finish to the checkering will scream of refinish and look lousy, compared to original finish.

    Original wood grips

I wholeheartedly agree with Ren wax for preserving. In the event you wish to restore or touch-up a blemish on the stocks, my choice is Birchwood Casey TruOil. I apply extremely sparingly, with a toothpick and spread with fingertip. Wipe up any excess with a rag or cheesecloth. It'll dry and...
