    Scope caps for AR Scope

I ordered the Leupold Alumina's for my Mark AR Mod 1 Leupold scope for my custom 300 BLK Wilson Billet. The caps are outstanding. I paid just under 90, but worth the investment.

New Performance Center M&P w/ Ported Barrel

I got that email a few days ago too. I like the ported slide. Of course I have both PC 1911's with ports so maybe I'm predisposed. I have not found a price on these. I'd like to see S&W put a better trigger in the PC version. I have the apex aluminum and it's night and day better than stock...

    645 followed me home...

The back straps do look like plastic. I removed mine, filed it nicely, it had some factory pits, then glass beaded. It's definitely not plastic but had some odd colored anodizing or something of the sort. Once glass beaded, it has a nice white aluminum color. That appears to be a fully polished...

    Why P-Mags

Why? Because they are the best. I honestly like the 20 rounders the best, due to length and to lack of volume I burn through at the range. :p

    645 Range Trip

I've had a 645 since the late 80's (New) and it's a great gun. I bought two new PC 1911's so I rarely shoot it. It's accurate and a great gun, still looks New too. The pach' grips look much better than originals anyway. I have both set. The factory grips are sort of cheap thin plastic.

    Will a S&W M&P last for 50 years?

Skyway Machine, Inc. Mine are 31 years old and flawless, never heard of one ever failing. The company has been around 51 years. The oldest mags are 40 years old. They have taken a LOT of abuse by a million 120 lbs kids and 240 lbs men.

    Will a S&W M&P last for 50 years?

Of course they will last 50 years. Does anyone remember Skyway BMX wheels? Black plastic (nylon) five spoke BMX wheels form the 1970's - 80's. I have a set on a 1984 24" Redline BMX Cruiser and they are absolutely flawless, in brand new condition. They haven't deteriorated in any way and look...

    Best S&W 1911 for newbie?

Get the one you like and can afford without borrowing. I have both current PC guns and both are awesome. Don't avoid a PC gun just because of cost. Nothing wrong with learning the 1911 by buying their best gun. It's not like it has a huge learning curve anyway.

What do you feed your S&W 422/622/2206 pistol?

My 622 shoots absolutely anything and shoots it well. Great little gun.

    645/659/6590 questions

I have a mint 645 w adjustable rear site, with the box, original receipt and mags. I bought new in 88 or 89. No it's not for sale, but I doubt I'd get $650, unless I was selling to an absolute nut.

My handgun is obsolete? Why is that?

This is all is mean. S&W does not continue to make/sell parts for them. What are the odds the gun will fail under occasional use? A gun smith can either find part or make them.

    Magnifier and Red Dot Question

I think that what is supposed to happen, they both get larger but the dot still only covers 1" circle on the target

    Magnifier and Red Dot Question

I think what you are saying is the holograph produces a sharper recital which does not blur as much when magnified. I don't think you are saying the dot actually gets exponentially bigger with other sights but that they gets blurrier which make them appear bigger and making it harder to select...

Frog Lube and the heating process

Frog lube has improved every gun I own. Semi auto pistols slide more smoothly and everything feels better. So easy to use and it does not really collect spent gun powder, making it easier to clean next time. Love it.

    Magnifier and Red Dot Question

That's what I thought. Explain to me why in post #3 you said a 3moa would become a 21" dot at 100 yards under 7x mag. The dot get bigger but so does the target, so the dot does not become 21", right?
