    That feels so much better

DWalt, I knew the price wasn't great but the guy made me a screaming deal on my last transaction with him. I tried several sets on the gun and these fit the best. The origin of the grips is of no concern. I simply wanted something comfy. While I prefer darker presentation panels I can handle these.

    That feels so much better

I'm keeping the little stocks but i just couldn't shoot them. A friend has a tiny 14 year old son (weighs 82 lbs) that runs the gun. He is way too small to run the Blackhawk, Redhawk, or N frame. He just cant hold them properly.

    That feels so much better

I hauled the little 15-2 out to the Fort Worth gun show today. It came home dressed up a bit nicer. I've got some pretty large palms and have trouble with little grips. This shiny shooter joined the family to help instruct smaller shooters with a gun that fits. Lately, I've really taken a shine...

    Preferred Speedloaders?

If you put down the 28 and pick up a 25 then you can stock up on moon clips and outrun the speed loader guys. :p

Happiness is a 1st round hit on steel at 50 yards

Don't let the secret out! People might figure out that it's the hardware making this happen, not the loose nut behind the wheel. :D I love this little wheel gun. It is far and away the favorite of my collection.

Choosing between the 625 or 19 for deer

Assuming your competency and confidence are similar with both guns I'd take the 625. It's an easy carry and will poke a fat hole through both sides of a deer without having to rely on expansion.

Happiness is a 1st round hit on steel at 50 yards

We hit the range this morning to kick off an all American 4th of July. It's been several months since the 25-2 made the trip. Apparently, it was thrilled to be included this time and rewarded me with a 1st round hit on the 10" plate at 50 yards. It went the extra mile and gave me a ring on the...

Still having trouble with this 38.

I took that approach when fitting the DA sear on my 25-2. The replacement had been cut a little too much so I popped a dot of weld on it and fit the piece. For the record, I am a home shop machinist and have done my fair share of gunsmithing projects. The problem here is that I had a bit of...

Still having trouble with this 38.

I think this is a 3rd model but I'm not positive. It's a 38 S&W serial number 173630. This little guy had been dunked in some form of shellac and my coworker wanted it resurrected. Once I got it cleaned up the cylinder would stop short when the trigger was pulled slowly. A brisk pull would spin...

    cylinder doesn't always rotate properly

You covered exactly what I had in mind. I did the bead of weld trick to repair the sear on my 25-2. Thanks for the heads up on the bullet diameters. I didn't know there was a difference. I'm a fair sized fellow with rather large hands. That has lead to a collection of fairly large guns...

    cylinder doesn't always rotate properly

It looks like I got rid of the schallac monster on this little 3rd model hammerless. All traces of that evil goo have been removed from the gun. After cleaning the guts I stoned a few surfaces to remove the pitting and get the action a bit less chunky. It moves nicely now. In this time I did...

3rd Safety Hammerless - trigger removal?

Interesting! Thanks for the heads up. I grabbed the frame with the hinge against my palm and two fingers around the back of the trigger guard. I took up slack in preparation of a mighty heave and it popped out easy as can be. Nifty!

3rd Safety Hammerless - trigger removal?

I have taken on a project for a coworker. He inherited his grandfather's issued gun. I'm not sure who issued it but that's what he says. It has sentimental value and that's about it. There is no appreciable finish left on the gun. It's in good physical condition but that's likely due to someone...

    25-2 vs evil

The load used was a Rainier 200 gr round nose plated over a middle weight charge of Power Pistol. So far, the 25 has liked everything I've fed it.

    25-2 vs evil

After Kirk lowered the gun was when I realized he only had six rounds through it and those were early this summer. He's a good shot but it still speaks well for the tool in use.
