Keep em both! get the 14 rd. mag for the FS and put it in your nightstand for home def. Keep the compact for target and carry if needed. With an xgrip you have the the option to carry the extra rounds when wanted or needed. I have both and won't part with either one.

I got a M-15OR back in Sept. told the wife it was my xmas gift... Christmas got close and wife told me to get something to put under the tree from her to me. So, I got myself a 45c and the 14 rnd mag for the FS45. :)

I've shot the 9 and own a .40 but then again, all my M&P's are in .40. I don't think the recoil of the .40 over the 9 is that noticeable (to me anyway). I just think the larger diameter holes are prettier... :)

WOW, didn't realize how big these Shields are!!! How do you carry a gun that's bigger than your dog! ;)
