Why didn't anyone warn me? :confused:

First came the Shield in 9mm, love that gun... hence the 'need' to explore more, so tonight I ordered an M&P Compact (9mm), can't wait to get it!

You will be glad you did! The M&P bug bit me when I first shot my 9c so I just had to get a 45c also, then it bit me again and I couldn't help myself any longer so I bought an M&P 15 Sport. I guess I am going to have to get me one of them Shields.

I am with you on this ride!! First got the 9c for EDC, that led to the 9fs for IDPA, next up the M&P 15 Sport to be my first AR and whenever the Shield is produced to meet the regs of my state, a Shield will be coming home.

I'm getting the bug too, I'm either gonna get the mp9 or mp40

M&P 9 fs was my first M&P then the 9c then the 45c now the Shield. I love em.

Started with the M&P 15 MOE not long after got the M&P 40 FS then came the M&P 15-22 and finally they put the hurt on me again when the Shield came out. On the good side I was able to get $200 in rebates from them over the last two years with the purchases, not that it's a fortune but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick and more than I got back on any of my Walthers, Berettas or Rugers purchases.

Got my first one, an M&P 40 compact. Got the drop in barrel and mags for 9mm. Thought I was good to go, but no, S&W came out with the Shield. That was what I really wanted. Don't need it. The M&P compact is almost perfect, got a Walther PPS, which is about the same size as the Shield, and to make matters worse, sold a couple of other guns and went to the LGS to buy a Shield with the money I got, but no can find. So I bought the Beretta Nano. I've got 450+ rounds through her with different types of FMJ and defensive HPs and it has been flawless. But I've got the fever and when I spot a Shield for sale, it will be mine, no doubt. Sorry if this post is a little long, but bottom line is "I want the Shield!"

First my M&P FS 9mm then the M&P .45 4-1/2", then the 22a, now the M&P Shield 9mm. What's next.......

Glad to see I'm not the only one with M&Pitis. I started with a 40c, happened into a 9c, and now I have a 45c on the way. Not sure what I think of the shield yet, but that may change...

I started with the 9c .. then the BG.380 to the AR M&P15.223 (then had the get the .22 version to afford practice shooting more) Next was the Shield and then the M&P-22 followed me home ::sigh::

Probably the most fun disease you will ever suffer from :o

I started with M&P9 and then bought the M&P15 waiting for it to get here and next is the Shield Compact. :)

Started with an M&P9 FS for USPSA matches then to the M&P Pro. I think it is going to stop there I am just not interested in the smaller versions.

As for the original M&Ps, yep, they can be habit forming.

M&P 15-22 --> M&P 15-Sport --> M&P 9fs--> M&P 22

Wichita then led to my selling off other centerfire handguns. The only centerfire handguns I now own are a M&P 9fs and a Ruger SR1911.

I'm starting with the 9mm Shield, but now I don't know if I want to go bigger for the next one or smaller. I was thinking the M&P 22 to save on ammo cost but I'm almost thinking a FS for comp shooting. I'd also like to get an AR-15 eventually when I have like a grand to blow... Which is like never...

OP, you are not alone. I got a 9c for Christmas a few years back, then I decided to get the full size 9, and now I just got the M&P 15 OR. I gotta say, they all look pretty good sitting next to one another in the safe.
