Scratched the Glock itch and moved on

Only have one Glock, a 43x.
As I have posted, not sure I’ll live long enough or shoot enough to ever like the Glock trigger.
But it’s as reliable and a backup or family pass down.
I’m gunning up, I ain’t gunning down!

The factory trigger on the new 2.0 Compact is really nice.....better than the factory trigger on the Glock. I don't have any plans to replace or mod the Compact trigger

Not a Glock fanboy but I've owned a few and still have a G23 and a G36 and have no argument with the aesthetic judgements. However....if I had to trust my life or protect my families to one semi auto in a do or die situation.....it would be a Glock. I just know it will work when I need it.

Cleaned and lubed the 2.0 Compact and made it to the range this morning. Bottom line is I fired a little over 100 rounds today of my reloads. 124 gr Extreme bullet with 4.2 grains Titegroup. Every round fed, fired and ejected perfectly....as if somebody already broke it in for me. I am impressed and have no regrets switching from the Glock 19 to the M+P 2.0 Compact

Did the trigger feel lighter and break quicker compared to the G19? It’s good to find a tool that fits and works for ya. Enjoy!

Got plenty of poly, Sig, S&W, Walther. Got some metal too, Ruger, RIA, Berretta.

No Glocks. Not a hater, just don't "fit" me. Have shot plenty. Every time I think I should have at least one, I rent one at the range and reaffirm my apathy towards them.

About 8 months ago I got the Glock itch. I never owned or shot one but started thinking about it and before long was at my LGS putting down cash. I bought a BNIB Glock 19 Gen 3.No mods...shot it bone stock and the gun did very well. Put about 600 rds thru it and it was 100% reliable and easy to make meaningful hits on a sillouette target every round a mortal wound.Sights I can see and a decent trigger what's not to like? In a word ergonomics. The slight forward angle of the grip and the girth of the grip just didn't work for me. So the Glock got sold. Yesterday I got a email flyer from the gun store telling me about a 2 day sale(today and tomorrow) with a M+P 2.0 Compact 9MM w/4" barrel on sale for $529. I also got both my tax return checks in the mail yesterday so you can guess what happened next. I was waiting when the store opened and this morning and now I have a M+P 2.0 Compact in Kalifornia DROS prison haha. The ergonomics of the M+P are great and I haven't had an opportunity to try the different backstraps to fine tune that. Grip texture is good no Talons or any of that needed. I snapped it once and the trigger is the best trigger I've felt on a striker fired gun.... no trigger mods needed here. It's gonna be a long ten day wait......Mike

I absolutely hated the standard Glock grip…
SCT Glock clone frame makes all the difference in the world. I now have 2. Assembled a 23 & 19.
Finding I carry them more than my shield but still have 3 full size M&P.
See how it goes ?
I still like the M&P ergonomics but the SCT frame has been winning out against the shield lately.

My son is a self-described Glock fanboi and a Glock Advanced Armorer. Over a few decades, he has probably owned every model Glock has made except an 18. And he always wanted me to try his new Glocks. Every. Danged. One.

I can shoot Glocks okay, but I don't like the way they feel. When it comes to the characteristics of the highly-regarded Glock 19, mine is an M&P Compact. The M&P feels like it was made for my hand and it is nearly effortless to shoot. Everything is simply right about it.

One thing the M&P does not do is use Glock magazines. OTOH, my favorite PCC does use Glock magazines and I wanted a companion pistol that would share the many magazines I had for the PCC. A Palmetto State Armory full-size Dagger, which corrected what I did not like about Glocks, was my solution. My son recently got an RXM and it may also become a PCC companion now that MagPul is making a full-size grip module.
