After looking around at smaller 45's I came across this one and decided to buy it. It seemed to be a pretty fair deal for an interesting pistol. a Durham N.C. Police Department gun, an M&P .45
I have a 4.25" M&P M2.0 9mm and it's the cats azz.

I looked at only .45's, Shields, Rugers, HK's and XDS's and a few oddballs but I was particularly disappointed with the Shields with only 6+1 capacity, they were more money and I just could not warm up to anything else. I compromised on the larger size with this, but I prefer the extra capacity and I think it will carry well. Plus it's cool.

It looks excellent with only holster wear on top of the slide where the Durham N.C. Police Dept. shield Is engraved. The weight's not too bad either. It looks like it was carried just enough to wear the logo but rarely shot. There's a bunch of photos and it looks new.
Unfortunately my wife won't think it's so great. 😉

You'll love it! the 4" M&P 45 is probably my favorite 45. Pointability, balance, shoot-ability, just the best. The fact that it is one of the most accurate and reliable 45 autoloaders is a bonus.

Enjoy!

I purchased a LE Trade In M&P45 2.0 (4.25 in barrel). The only wear I could detect was holster wear. It had not been fired very much. Great price. S&W even sent me a complete set of backstraps and registered the weapon for warranty. This a sweet shooter. Love it.

I bought the 4.5 inch version new back in like 2008. Carried and shot a lot of rounds thru it. Only gripe was the striker broke at around 7500 rounds along with at least that many dry presses. So consider buying an extra striker, especially if the original is black anodized (and use snap caps). Anyway, mine got carried in a Milt Spsrks SSII IWB, wears Heinie sights, and has held its own in the accuracy department. They'll eat most anything. Just change the the RSA every 4-5k rounds.
